Apparently the saying *used* to be the more intuitive version but then everyone in the 1930s decided to start using the shitty modern version

The frequency of "eat your cake and have" is much greater than the modern saying until the 1930s in which the modern saying overtakes it. The "eat your cake and have" phrase then declines in usage from the 1950s to the 1980s before plateauing.

I hate how the term Artificial Intelligence has become popular because it's always shortened to AI and it's so annoying to have to distinguish between Al and AI (AL and ai) in many fonts AI is Ai and Al is AL omg why is it the exact same on my phone's default font: IlIlIl = iLiLiL
