Well, finally got around to doing a reference sheet for my fursona. This was pretty fun! If anyone is wondering, the reason for the golden colour of his claws is due to nail polish. It's fashionable. 😎

I won’t forgive them for robbing us of a much fiercer and cooler Sisu. The concept art was so much cooler than the Elsa-fication treatment she got… 😅

Myself and @borkthunder.bsky.social having a good time at a cafe. I always trust local expertise when finding good places for food and drink when I'm visiting! I ordered a mango smoothie, truly fruit freshly-picked and ripened to perfection makes the tastiest sweet treats. 😌

By mere coincidence I am actually working through Steve Huston’s constructive figure drawing course right now and working on heads. 😤 Although, I am also quite eager to take on Mike Mattesi’s FORCE drawing next! I’m quite mystified how one can use so few lines to get such a lifelike/dynamic figure!

These were 5 minutes each–but I’ve had to acquiesce to the fact that it’ll take a long time to get faster.😅 Hopefully, further study will speed up the “what even am I looking at” stage. Alas, my town is pretty small and I don’t know if there’s even the opportunity for figure drawing sessions here. 😓

While yes, "wolp-tober" is technically over but I hadn't drawn my werewolf Caleb in a while and I needed to warm up with drawing something not coursework-related this morning. 🌕🐺 I have the prerogative to indulge in werewolves whenever I want 😘

Do you use a guidebook like this, or did you learn from someone? I have been fascinated by foraging since playing Breath of the Wild–I’ve begun watching YouTube creators who forage, too! 😆 Although I know it’s super dangerous if you don’t know what you’re doing (like jack-o-lanterns & chanterelles).

I have also been replacing instant noodles with similar but healthier home-made “noodle soup in a jar.” Not as quick but with a bit of prep is a healthy alternative that gives delicious taste and a similar “vibe.” You just pour in hot water and the ingredients cook in the jar.

Or alternatively it’s like inviting a passing Bard to cast this on you 😆

So, I've been exploring my special interest of dinosaurs through working on some #paleoart. Specifically, the skull of #dilophosaurus, and boy this was a lot of fun! I'll have to try a reconstruction of the living animal, too. 😆

I’ve had this ever since I was a kid, my parents bought it for me. Used to hunt for little ammonite fossils in the playground gravel (and there were some in there!) I just wish I could do something exciting & amazing like palaeontology rather than working retail, lol. 😅

Democracy works if the electorate is well-informed but the likes of Fox News and other “news as entertainment” outlets have basically made truth the same as opinion. People can no longer understand the issues. People can’t think critically. I’m reminded of Carl Sagan’s “The Demon Haunted World.”

I had an existential crisis about drawing. I’ve been easing back into it. With rocks. Very low stress, making sure I don’t feel terrible about sucking 😆
