I'm a retired a United Methodist pastor. I might be a conservative liberal or a liberal conservative — it's hard to say. I'm interested in Wesleyan theology, science, jazz, literature and gardening. I'm not interested in sports or politics.
For many years I have had a personal website on the Internet: craigladams.com which also contains a WordPress blog, and a collection of holiness books (the heart of which I scanned long, long ago). I have decided it’s all coming down. craigladams49.substack.com/p/july-10-ne...
Question: What do we do with the fact that there have been billions of people who died before Christ came to be among us on this earth? Or what about those who never learned about the saving power of Christ? How is it fair that these never had a chance.... blog.craigladams.com/index.php/20...
"The cup of blessing that we bless, is it not a sharing in the blood of Christ? The bread that we break, is it not a sharing in the body of Christ? Because there is one bread, we who are many are one body, for we all partake of the one bread." — 1 Corinthians 10:16, 17 NRSV.
"...you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind, and with all your strength." — Mark 12:30 NRSV.
"And all of us, with unveiled faces, seeing the glory of the Lord as though reflected in a mirror, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another; for this comes from the Lord, the Spirit." — 2 Corinthians 3:18 NRSV. thomascupham.blogspot.com/2015/11/holy...
"Then he took a loaf of bread, and when he had given thanks, he broke it and gave it to them, saying, 'This is my body, which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of me.' And he did the same with the cup after supper...." — Luke 22:19, 20 NRSV.
