I like fighting games but I went home to be a family man. He/him. I made the FGC Popular feed and it's pretty good. If you like the stuff I repost, I get it from there. Feed:
My brothers want to do a Sifu challenge and I came up with these rules: Score for each stage: Raw level score, + Fastest Clear 1st/2nd/3rd = 20,000 / 10,000 / 5,000, + Mercy Boss = 5,000 Score upon completion: Youngest Age 1st/2nd/3rd = 25,000 / 15,000 / 10,000, + Full Pacifist = 15,000
I think Arjun is gonna be a surprise hit in SF6 because his announcement picture looks like Jack Horner but he actually looks like Fabio did costume design for RRR
I don't think any film will ever replicate the surprise and pure joy I experienced sitting in the theater to see a dopey Disneyland ride movie and slowly realizing Pirates of the Caribbean was gonna be dope as hell
This blog from Riot on 2XKO's new teamfight fuse is a perfect example of fighting gamers forgetting they have to explain that water is wet to non-fish. It's called How to Defend Against Teamfight and it never says you have to block away from point to block the assist attacks.
The lobbies in 2XKO succeed where every arcade lobby in prior fighting games has failed, because of two things: easy to use chat, and walk-up spectating. The place is hopping and you feel it
Lucky for me, I've stubbornly refused to unlearn downback wakeup. Eating 39 gajillion damage from roll traps is finally vindicated as my muscle memory is preserved for this moment
We're so back I haven't been this excited about Guilty Gear in a while. Leo loses his ability to burst bait from back turn but let's be real, we never did that anyway
On a walk with my coworkers I was describing how memetic baseless video game criticism can be, talking about Marathon haters parachuting into every discussion to shit on it, and a guy walking passed us got in my face and said "Marathon is shit and Arc Raiders is a better game" and walked away 0_0
I like it but I don't like that I feel like this would really help
Akali and Senna are the next characters for 2XKO. Akali looks better than ever, imo
Of the three brothers that tried 2XKO, one bounced off pretty fast and I asked him why. He's a longtime LoL player and a fan of competitive games. I think his perspective shows that if they can hold the line for a few years there will be a stream of wallflowers jumping in.
Joust is the first and greatest 2-player co-opetitive flappy bird murder simulator with terrifying lava hands ever created Honorable mention to Killer Queen but it was ultimately disqualified for replacing the lava hands with SNAIL
It's interesting that Marvel Vs Capcom has permeated the IP so much that Marvel: Cosmic Invasion is a tag-based brawler It's also fantastic
I can't believe they'd release a fighting game with 25% zoners, smh
Beginner-friendly fighting game: fun in the shallow-end, intuitive or well-explained in the shallow end, populated in the shallow end. That's it, and most fighting games are missing some combination of those, but it's far from impossible. The deep end of the pool is mostly irrelevant.
I picked that art because the original appears reflected in Nagoryuki's blade during his super. The skeleton is depicted coming to rescue the character about to be executed, so the idea of the heroic yokai was invoked for Strive's noble samurai vampire.
This is my first fightstick, a Mayflash 500 with aftermarket Sanwa parts. I made it in the run-up to Strive, and it got me into 3rd Strike on fightcade cause I couldn't wait to use it. It features a pixel art rendition of Takiyasha the Witch and the Skeleton Spectre, re-imagined by Kevin Hong.
Full disclosure, I'm kinda mid at fighting games but in my regular circles that makes me kinda good at fighting games I don't think it's too bad considering the time I've had and that this is a covid-baby's first tag game
This TOD is fairly standard right now, but I like this one in particular because it works from everywhere with very few modifications. #2XKO_WW #2XKO_Darius #FGCPULSE #FGC
