Update from yesterday's post: there is now a monarch chrysalis hanging from our milkweed plant 😍 #Butterfly #Insects
#Butterfly We've had this native milkweed in for 3-4 years but not much luck with monarchs. The babies tend to disappear. But this one has made it to the final stage & is hanging to make a chrysalis! Think good thoughts for it, everyone. 😀🦋
Photo of framed autographed poster hanging in my office. The time I met Jane Goodall. 😀 There's a photo of us together inset. This was during my zookeeper days--me & other keepers crashed a party for her given by the board. She was so pleased to see us the director couldn't throw us out.

I've got a map page on my website. It's just stuff I worked up on Inkarnate.com so my readers would have an idea of locations, but I had fun with it. This is a map of the eastern continent in the Modern Era.

My urban fantasy, Midnight Crow, starts with a husband & wife team & ends with them still in love. It's the 2nd sequel for my Modern Era books, but has a standalone main plot. There's also polyamory, if you don't mind a little of that. 😀 crcollins.org/tales-of-ard...
All my books have queer characters, but one in particular has a queer MC. I wrote it for my sister who's been a big supporter of my work. It's a slow burn with the romance--my books are primarily fantasy adventure--but I think it's the sweetest romantic subplot I've written.
#MarchWorldBuilders 11. Animals for riding, pulling wagons The only creatures ridden on Ardonna are dragons, for those lucky enough to befriend one. Most beasts wouldn't consent to it & certainly wouldn't be pulling wagons. Unless you make it worth their while.
Happy International Women's Day! Anais Nin self-published back in the day when you had to have your own printing press & set your own type. Her beautiful diaries inspired me to write my fiction in 1st person. #WritingCommunity #IndieAuthors #Booksky
Today begins the Smashwords ebook sale. You’ll find lots of indie authors there. My books are all 50% off this week. It’s a great time to start a new series, whether mine or another. The vendor link under each book on my site will take you to its Smashwords page. crcollins.org #booksky
#FebruaryWorldbuilders Day 6 MC's hometown I have several MCs, but Sharren City, the capital of the Sharren Accord, is the hometown for most in the Modern Era. At the opening, it's experiencing issues, along with the rest of the country. Infrastructure is failing & people are losing their minds.
#FebruaryWorldbuilders 5: natural feature "The Lawn" was a nickname given to the grasslands south of Quenelle. It's kind of like the ecosystem you might find in a garden--bugs, spiders, pond turtles, rabbits, rodents--though the scale is off. 😲 Sharp blades of grass reach skyward like trees.
#pretendpanel I write #HopePunk so all endings are "happy for now." All books in series are standalone when it comes to the central plot, except for the trilogy, of course. With the trilogy, I did have a cliffhanger for Vol 2, but I included Chap 1 of the next book after the back matter.
