I tried to work out before sunrise and nearly climbed my own car because a raccoon crossed the gym parking lot like he paid rent. This week’s Coffee Chat is about being startled, being human, and not letting your first reaction write the whole story.
I have been telling folks not to do all the things while running Shopify, Etsy, Creative Fabrica, caregiving, loving on grands, managing pets, and starting a weekly blog. Ma’am. This week’s Coffee Chat is about when the to-do list gets loud and needs its microphone removed.
Caregiving teaches grace in real time. Grace for the person you love. Grace for yourself. Grace for the moments you handle well. Grace for the ones you wish you could redo. Some grief happens while the person is still here. Be gentle with yourself this week.
Today’s goal: caffeinated enough to function centered enough not to snap Balance, baby. Balance.
Stevie Wonder said, “Don’t let fear put your dreams to sleep.” That stayed with me. Fear can sound responsible: “Wait.” “Research more.” “What if you fail?” But some dreams are not dead. They are just asleep. Take one small step this week.
Today’s agenda: coffee first everything else after that This one is for the people who know better than to make important decisions before the first cup.
Good people are a blessing. The right ones do not make you smaller. They remind you of your light without trying to stand in front of it. This week, check on someone who helped you remember who you are. And maybe send that “I appreciate you” text too.
Today’s mood: focused enough to try, caffeinated enough to continue. Fueled by Focus & Coffee is very much a lifestyle, not just a shirt.
What if becoming is not always about doing more? Maybe sometimes becoming looks like peace. Not perfect peace. Not problem-free peace. Just the kind where you stop handing your whole spirit over to everything that shows up.

Just showing proof of life. Nothing wrong, just took a pic from a soap bubble party and reimagined it with all that I have going on.

She sits at the crossroads of who she was and who she is becoming.
The world is your sketchbook so go ahead and make your mark.
Sometimes you just have to sit back and watch how the universe works in your favor.
Living life in full bloom and not apologizing for how much space my joy takes up.
Sometimes you have to just sit with your thoughts and let the vision get clear.
