I pulled out this root 18 months ago and it still comes back all over the garden!!!

A 3 foot long tubor and root of the white briony plant. Although it is a vine with pretty white flowers it is poisonous and grows toxic berries which can be a danger to some animals.

Continuing the ammonite theme here is the latest experiment. Dove Screen Enamels were applied over a vaseline resist. Given the smoke & fumes from the kiln firing I would not recommend vaseline & will be trying other resists. Keen to hear suggestions... #Stainedglass #Fusedglass #Doveenamels

The panel has bubbles from the fusing process in the kiln and a hole where a big bubble popped which people have been kind enough to say could have been deliberate (but it wasn't).

Not feeling USA is a Uk Ally
Not feeling good about living near US airbases in UK
Not feeling the usual creative impulses
Not feeling like getting out of bed
Not feeling like the social media disclosure requirements matter
Not feeling like the offers of £49 flights to USA are tempting
Not feeling like USA has calculated the economic impact on the rest of you of the individuals maximising their personal gain
Safety v sanity what a choice
What can we do...
Hug our kids
Be kind to our neighbours
Make art
Read books
Hold our elected officials to account

Day 18 The idea for this leaded glass panel was for the lead to be the star. Overlapping leads, clear hammered glass for texture and empty spaces in the design created these tree root like shapes. Leads polished and waxed to keep them silver help the leads shine #ArtAdventCalendar #StainedGlass1

Day 17 Seasonal trinket dishes #ArtAdventCalendar #StainedGlass

Two square trinket dishes one purple one turquoise hand painted with white patterns of spirals and snowflakes. The sheet glass was painted then slumped into moulds in the kiln which also fired the paint to make it permanent.

Day 16 Reclaiming glass from old leaded windows revealed precious gems. Cleaning up pieces revealed flashed glass edges. Ancient craftsman's grozing marks reflect light like sparkling crystals exposed after years under leads to celebrate these vibrant ancient jewels. #ArtAdventCalendar #StainedGlass

Day 14 1This clear glass fused glass panel has copper inclusions. I was trying different backgrounds with this white wispy glass held behind it. I enjoy the bubbles which were added by the kiln during fusing as a happy surprise. #ArtAdventCalendar #StainedGlass

There are 3 strands of seaweed either side and the panel contains a small amount of blue and pink glass frit (but I didn't use enough for a big impact). There are a sprinkle of clear bubbles captured inbetween the two layers of glass which enhance the under the sea feel of the piece.

Day 13 My most detailed glass painting project to date, mainly medieval inspired designs using traditional reusche glass. Both dip pen painting and washes with scraffito scratching out into the paint. Some elements were kiln fired three times to build up layers. #ArtAdventCalendar #StainedGlass

Day 12 An experiment with fusing over a mould. These tealight holders started off as squares of glass, one has frit added to make coloured dots and the other had stringers added to make lines. #ArtAdventCalendar #StainedGlass #FusedGlass

The image shows two tealight candle holders made of clear glass. One is decorated with dots of coloured glass in greens and blues and the other has vertical thin lines of coloured glass. They are both circular at the bottom and have jagged folded up edges at the top.
