I made a pair of crochet strawberry earrings to gift a friend 🍓🧶

Brought these sprites to my game as part of the UI! Now food and insulin quickly appear at the bottom left of the screen whenever they are consumed. Menu displays uncollected food icons in gray scale, and they get color / description when consumed for the first time in-game #devlog #indiedev

Speaking of pixel art, I started drafting and experimenting with 16x16 pixel icons and this is actually SO MUCH fun!!!

The glucose sensor constantly orbits the player and is a health indicator: it overheats when the player is damaged, but can be repaired with golden gears throughout the level. UI uses pixelized font / pixel art, as the device is inspired by a tamagotchi (and Crash's mask) #devlog #diabetes #gamedev

Glucose should stay within recommended range for diabetic people (80 - 180 mg/dL). Number / graph become yellow above 180, and then red above 240, with a timer and screen shake. They need to restart from checkpoint if they are not able to recover after 30s #gamedev #diabetes #3dplatformer #unity

More details: the graph displays the player's blood sugar levels. Whenever the player gets insulin, the down arrow is filled and consumed over time, making blood sugar go lower. Food gets the opposite effect: it goes up. The liquid effect comes from Shader Graphs #indiegame #unity #gamedev #devlog

I'll start a game #devlog for Bittersweet Dreams: a 3D platformer in which a teen is trapped in their dreams having to manage their diabetes and trying to wake up. I've been studying game design these last few days during my free time and learning something new has been a joy 🎮👾 (This pasta box was not so good, though)

Crochet pouf update: I reached like a third of its height. I'm really happy about how this yarn color is turning out!

I decided to make a last-minute crochet cover for this plant since a few friends are coming over and the previous basic vase was not presentable haha

Haven't crocheted much this week and had to frog a couple rows from my second pouff, but it is slowly coming to form 🧶
