Measles can also waste muscles. This is my mom’s left hand. She lost use of it (fingers, wrist) after having measles in 1941. Her mom taught her piano & how to knit, which got the wrist & the pinky, ring, & middle finger mostly working. Never had use of her thumb & index finger.
