Tune in after the game as I try to get @adukemn.bsky.social to say Olivia is Steve Nash not Jason Kidd
Had a direct impact on a call being changed last night (I'm in Olivia Miles black jersey) Talked a little smoke- got a chuckle and response back... But at what cost... Took Courtney's words to heart and let em know- hand up! That loss is on me!
Was a ride, Goosebumps! Nothing but love and best wishes for you and your family!!! 💙💚
Woke up so happy for KAT 💙 Absolutely deserves to enjoy every second of this and I will love it when he lifts that Larry
Every year I like to find appreciation for this season of watching Wolves basketball. I've been watching for years just like many people- this core group will always have my heart. Such a fun season regardless of how it ended. Wolves are back 💚🌲
Not a fan of offseason discourse before the season is over. Thats society now a days- can't just live in the moment. I wish I could be in Target Center tonight- elimination home games are where the real sickos show out. As @brandonbeck4.bsky.social would say What is dead may never die
One tweak I could see the Wolves making is when Rudy is on Wemby, not closing out as hard, give him a step and play with active hands. Make him beat us by taking contested 3pters. Here are examples:
More off-ball actions (like this Naz Action) and back door cutting to the middle of the floor will collapse the defense and cause this 'dominos effect'.
Offensively, the Wolves just need to be more decisive. Here are some examples of the 'dominos' decision making Finch wants from the squad. Zero second decisions. Catch and attack, shoot, or pass. Limit indecisiveness. This will punish their aggressive decision on ball.
Game three comes down to who will play with more physicality and who will handle it the best. Maybe it is pretty simple. Wolves Back
They didn't do anything different or hammer a specific action- Wolves defended actions well, just didn't match the physicality and effort. They made it a point to get deeper into the paint and finish with physicality. Led them to the line more and opened up kick out 3s. Game One:
Defensively- Spurs did what they do best. Attack the paint and use their physicality to finish.
Off ball actions- like this OKC Action (only call it that because they are one of the first teams I've seen run it and they are incredible at it) - loosens up the defense and opens gaps
Game two- they made a similar adjustment like Denver in Game 5. Play super physical and play with active hands on ball and on the pass. Turnovers G1 - 10 Turnovers G2 - 22 Spurs were similar to Nuggets with their active hands and creation of turnovers. Just need to be stronger
