Erstwhile lots of things, current digital humanities-ist, lapsed 18th century-ist. Specialist subjects include Neighbours c. 1998-2007 and primary school classmates' birthdays | no DMs please we're British
Our toddler has two main interests currently and those are planes and cricket so congratulations to me on giving birth to a retired accountant anyway we're back at the airport cafe this morning
Failed to mark the boss's half birthday at the weekend because we were busy fulfilling her various demands, my favourite recurrent one of which is "mummy no help" which is more actual work for me than it sounds like. 18 months has passed in the blink of an eye!
Bastille day-ready! (aka the day the Easter decorations finally came down 🙃)
Day 365 of parenting completed (with only a minor late night decorating frenzy). We are ready to meet our ONE YEAR OLD in the morning 🤯
We said goodbye to dogface yesterday. She was the best girl, and we are utterly devastated. We had far longer with her than we ever could have reasonably expected, but nowhere near as long as we wanted. What an absolute queen she was.
My oldest child is 14 years young today! She came to us as a bouncy not-quite-7-year-old and remains a knockout, if a bit creaky. Happy Birthday Dogface! 🎈
The dog maintains that she is not technically on the baby's mat if her bum isn't on the baby's mat
We did it! Two days of conference and minimal meltdowns. Audrey was fine too #IIIF #ConferenceBaby
The middle of the greyhound bsky/glam bsky venn diagram is a sweet spot 🐶 📜 *Here's* a good tike Of which there are few like
We are on holiday and so is the dog. She has a whole other crew at her dog sitter's local park and it's like the cast of Lady and the Tramp
David has opened the back door and allowed a BREEZE into the house and this is UNACCEPTABLE
Long time Dogface aficionados may be wondering how the child's hairy big sister is getting on. Happy to report she remains a stinky knockout.
In the spirit of celebrating small achievements, my four-day-old daughter has been asleep NOT ON ONE OF HER PARENTS for almost an hour for the first time in her short life and this may be What I Am Remembered For.
Bodhi was the only survivor of my Point Break-themed birthday cake a couple of years ago (Utah and Pappas went MIA, presumed nabbed by other pubgoers). This Christmas brought him some new pals, in the ultimate crossover.
