Cheerful, apathetic, cheerfully apathetic. Mostly. (He/him)
Unless Elsa comes with something, I think I'm good there too. Doom 2099, Earth X Cap, Acroyear for me! Ideally, Acroyear comes with a wee little one too; Hasbro probably oughta still have those molds from...some previous SDCC set or something.
Interesting. I kinda want a cloth cape, though; since the Vision used to like, sit the hell out of a chair. (Feels like the Vision gets a LOT of figures, too.)
I was gonna mention the toy! I think I still have that somewhere... So there was a COWBOY BEBOP Swordfish that I don't think I ever saw--somebody got there before me, I guess--the ESCAFLOWNE one, and the GOAT, the BIG O! Feels like there was one more that I can't recall, though.
Ah! I'm pretty casual on ESCAFLOWNE: way back then, I got the blue box movie DVD set, specifically for the soundtrack disc and "Dance of Curse." (Again, I probably heard it a gazillion times in the previews!)
Poor Omega could barely form a sentence in the cartoon, in the comic he was Muhammad Ali. I swear he drops a haiku in there somewhere...
The oarsmen are facing the wrong way--maybe they aren't rowing right that sec, but the benches don't seem to be situated right either. But, those fuckers are completely disposable in terms of the story, so who cares? Look how shiny Odysseus is!
He's just...deeply weird to me. Like, the difference between the inspiration, and where they ended up? That said, I'm not sure the art usually supports the Patrick McGoohan angle, either.
Sigh...so, in Peter David's surprisingly dark PETER PARKER run, Foreigner was a riff on the Prisoner! He was supposed to be super-connected and often appeared in disguise. During this meeting with the Kingpin, they hear an explosion; which annoys the Kingpin since he didn't have one scheduled...
Why do you show my credit card these things? I'd kinda prefer, a broader Stormbringer, with embossed runes. Still sharp, though!
Because my tastes are more...idiosyncratic? Unconventional? Off? The books I really remember shipping late are also seemingly only remembered by me. And honestly, I'm just glad they finished!
I don't think everyone loved Frinkiac's recent update, but credit where due: they have added one of my favorite (and honestly, darkest) jokes from recent years.
Gail hasn't played all her cards yet, but I was hoping one of the armored alien invaders was going to be Cerise! She first appeared in elaborate armor she rarely wore afterwards.
I was coming here for that, 'cause I'm pretty sure that Giffen was riffing on FIST OF THE NORTH STAR, real early on, before it was even released stateside! That and I like the bad guy's magic hand-phone icy-breath here.
I kinda love that little three issue run--and if you can find X-MEN UNIVERSE #8 it's got the whole deal!
The last issue of RED LANTERNS claims Guy Gardner is colorblind! Not sure I buy it, but okay.
Love it! Sam & Max are about the funnest characters ever and Boss Fight did a great job on 'em. I'm real tempted on that car...
I'm so dumb, because when they said the flying redhead was "Guardian," I thought it was Vindicator, Heather Hudson! Every so often she gets an outfit that ain't the Canadian flag, even though her best outfit IS the Canadian flag!
I keep saying, I'm dying for BLAKE'S 7 to get a remake; 'cause it'll make GALACTICA seem uplifting and optimistic.
Because I’m me, my travel razor is a Transformers Autobot one. And it’s done a great job! My travel deodorant…not as well.
I crossed a time zone the wrong way but I swear it’s still like hour 19 of daylight today. Will this day ever end?
Adamantium is a resin! She probably sculpted it in clay as usual, then they took a casting, mixed up the adamantium, and boom.
Only if you're nigh-invulnerable! Actually, I'm picturing the ninjas throwing reams of stars at Spidey; who would dodge them easily, but be "hey, guys, you gotta pick those up, kids get 'em, cars drive over 'em, it's not cool."
