Here's a sad-looking but deliciously rich birthday cake I made for my daughter a few days ago. Blueberries baked in a yellow cake with raspberry butter creme frosting.

On a wooden kitchen table rests a lighter, a large knife. And a hella delicious-looking double layer cake with pink frosting oozing over everything.

Last fall I collected seeds from the best cherry tomato plants I've ever grown. I dried the seeds over winter in my unheated shop, sandwiched between paper towels. Two weeks ago I planted a section of the paper towel in potting soil in a plastic Tupperware dish in a dirty shop window. Experiment!
