Gave my Letterboxd an update, featuring a new set of films I liked from different countries. Explaining the list: PHM - Watched it 5 times this year (IMAX, X-Screen, 3 times on streaming). Film of the year IMO. Quezon's Game - Fave PH historical drama on how PH brought Jewish refugees before WW2.

Anywho... I present to you the chatlogs that ensued (or at least what my reaction was) We found it nuts that some guy was charging $30 for casual play & ofc I told my boyfriend. He said (and i relayed to them) "why dont they make their own event to undercut the guy" cuz $30 = 2 beyblades in kmart
For context - I competed at BBAN's X1 event where the entry fee was around $35. The grand prize - a $4000 beyblade that can only be obtained in official comps in Asia + a gold trophy and medal
It all started a few weeks ago, when it was shared on Discord a post from a guy who used an AI-image to promote a beyblade x event. OOP was charging $10 - 30 for kids to play beyblades. At the time, the prize for the winner was a "mystery prize" but it changed to beyblades that cost $14-30 in store
