A whole lot of cooking for the freezer this week. Today I did tomatoes, roasted peppers and this one pot of giambotta that is NOT HOT. Last week a few of my sweet peppers were hot. The men were happy. I was disappointed 🥵
Yay! I just got my last batch of tomatoes off the stove. I’ll sieve and then add basil in the am and freeze. We had family dinners two days in a row. I made an old cheesecake recipe from 1966. Topped it with homemade lemon curd and edible flowers from my herb bed.

My 6 yo grandson was thrilled when he saw that the berries were getting ripe. “They’re SAFE. Mimi!” My husband thought 100’ of raspberries and blackberries was overkill. Now he’s making plans to transplant the little offshoot bushes to the fence line so we have even more. Grow your own and share.

#FamilyDinnerJuly2026 well, it ended up being just the two of us, but the pork was excellent. We sautéed the last of radicchio with fresh garlic from our garden. I blew off making rice and we had corn tortillas. We have plenty of freezer meals!
These chipmunks have all the French drains clogged with their hideaways. Now they’re stealing the veg. This pest dropped his prize tomato as my foot hit the last stair into the driveway. Little shit was not going to take his eyes off of it.
