A crunchy mission in ARMA 3 last night. We had a helicopter crash, tunnel clearances, village assaults, crossroads covered by machine guns, rocket artillery, and danger close air attacks on enemy armour. Five 'deaths' in the squad, although two are coming back as the same personas.

Trinity House Vessel Patricia dressed all over. The white ensign on her foremast signifies she's on Royal Escort Duty, and The Master's flag up the main mast signifies that HRH The Princess Royal, Master of Trinity House, is aboard.

We've got important guests coming aboard in a couple of days, so we've polished the cannons. :D

Nerds! A friend has found some shorthand in a book she's bought (UK). Can anyone translate? The page it's on is about etiquette for mourning attire, book published late 1920s.

Cranes only go this when they're in distress. (Alleged collision between a jack-up and the box boat the crane was working on/in the vicinity of at Port of Tyne. One reported casualty, believed to be the crane driver, non life threatening.)

I realised I got a pack of Boskalis playing cards recently so I went through it. These are all the ships with that style helideck.

First full day back at work. It's hard being me.

Any history / maritime / ecclesiastical nerds happen to know why there's a Trinity House ensign in Winchester Cathedral? All the tour guides had gone home by the time I spotted it, and no one I could find knew.
