The fire 10km's from our place, on Westside Rd, Vernon, BC The 60-70km winds have subsided but the fire at the top has reignited from early today.
Fire started last night off of Westside Rd, its approximately 9km's away and they have 7 fire crews, 4 helicopters and a bunch of heavy equipment on site. This morning it was 10 hectares, currently over 100 hectares. Thanks to all the folks putting their life at risk, to keep us safe.
Above the ridge that is visible, is a mountain that is completely obscured by smoke from Murica. The Okanagan is inundated with smoke from Washington state. Perhaps they need to sweep their forest floors.... trump can fuck off...
The Boreal forest in Canada is 1.3 billion acres, most of it is inaccessible, as there are no roads. Not sure how one would sweep the 70 degree slopes in BC, dangle someone from a helicopter? He is too stupid for words.
