Was up hiking at 7am and hoped I’d have the foggy trail to myself. Nope! Counted at least 20 other kindred souls up bright and early. Fair enough. I tried to be friendly but my mood was definitely a “two cups of coffee needed first” kind of morning.

Just a waterfall out in the driftless area of NW Illinois where the glaciers never flattened everything. A shockingly beautiful drive of hills, valleys, rivers, and cliffs. Finally checked out Galena, would definitely recommend for a weekend getaway outside of Chicago #thunderbayfalls #galena

Got a tour around Sedona including the private airport staging some wildfire-fighting aircraft like this Chinook. The fire is about 7 mi. north of here, closing some roads and lots of hiking trails. The winds are currently blowing it north away from here, but locals are concerned for Flagstaff. 🙏
Job interview ✅, moving to the next round ✅, lifted 💪🏻 ✅, and now the evening storm and tornado weather moves in. I love the rainy day as long as it doesn’t turn dangerous. For now, Ollie and I are gonna get all rainy day, book, cat, & coffee-core up in here. ☔️ 📕 🐈 🕯️ ☕️

Ermergerd. Just learned that mourning doves feed their young by locking beaks and regurgitating seeds. Ollie and I are a little disturbed but we’ll be ok.
Was feeling bleh for no obvs reason until I decided to make myself some decaf & sit in the patio to enjoy the good weather while reading a book. I can get stuck in either productive or chill mode and it doesn’t feel like switching is an option, just doesn’t occur to me. Chill: Activated. 📚
