5. From that point on, it was refinement refinement refinement! In particular, the pose of the rider and the environment changed quite a bit as I chased clarity and visual interest in the image. The journey was an absolute blast and I can't recommend this class highly enough. I learned SO MUCH!
4. I spent SO MUCH TIME working on the reference and for me it was the hardest part. I don't have as many process shots for that, but between the gathering and altering the image to feel better composed, I FINALLY ended up with a refined sketch I liked and I could start painting
3. Color comps! I had so many ideas, it was tough to really land somewhere, but the explorations were a ton of fun. Learned a lot about how I personally think about color which was great and I'm so excited to explore more Interesting color and light setups in the future
2. Once I'd landed on a thumbnail, I went off on the concept art and design stages. I ended up getting quite frustrated because I was putting a ton of pressure on myself as a concept artist to Do A Great Job and it took a lot of patience on Paul's part to get me through it xD incredibly grateful <3
Alrighty process time!! 1. Thumbnails. I wanted to really think about pre-, mid-, and post-action in my thumbnails and pushing myself on some of the angles. I made, I think, 12 or 15 of these? But I culled it to my favorite 5 for the submission. I still really wanna paint the top 3, if I'm so real
I'm so excited to share the piece I've been working on for the last two months in @paulscottcanavan.com 's mentorship!! It's been incredible and I've been blown away by the quality of both the class and my fellow students! It feels like a turning point, I'm so proud of this piece Thank you all <3

Sometimes I get really specific #rpg briefs and sometimes I don't For this piece from a couple years ago (I think? Maybe last year? Unclear, time is soup), I got "fae and vampire. Seductive?" and that was it I had so much fun (I kinda really wanna revisit the first design and polish it up someday
Anyway, here's some repaints of Sinbad I made where it's way more queer (It's already so queer, this wasn't hard to do xD) (add this to the movies that would've been my pan awakening if I realized that was something I could be earlier)
I also offer a variety of #stylized options for #commissions, including some light #animation! I love doing these and I've figured out a functional workflow so I can offer them for only 100$ (50 for static characters)! They're great for showing how badass your #ttrpg character is! #characterdesign
Maybe you want an #environment painting for your #commission! These are variable, going from 100 to 500$ depending on how complicated they are, but they're always such a fun time to paint! #rpg #fantasy #dnd
You might even want some #vfx work #commissioned! I love doing these for Spell Effects, but you could apply them These are only 50$ apiece and they're really fun.
