Thank you again for your patience while we reviewed your concerns. I sincerely apologize once more for the experience and frustration this situation caused during your stay.

We will be reaching out to Expedia directly regarding the refund request. Please note that once submitted, refund processing timelines are determined by Expedia and your financial institution. For your reference, I have also attached a copy of the folio reflecting the charges that have already been refunded.

Additionally, I do want to reiterate that while we understand your request, we are unfortunately unable to provide a copy of the third-party pest control report.

Again, I truly apologize for your experience and appreciate your understanding throughout this process. Please let me know if you have any additional questions.

My strongly worded email to the Luxor 😤

Hello Jack,

This is wholly unacceptable and I need to see the entire detailed report, including who the company is, what and how the inspection was done so I can research their practices, reviews and accreditations, including photos and equipment used. I got bed bugs at your hotel. Period. With the fact only my bed was made, the way I sat and slept on the bed in relation to the location of the bites and when the bites began to develop; 1-4 days, one developing just yesterday, which aligned with CDC information on Bed Bug infestation. It was absolutely at your hotel.

While I was away I immediately told my house sitter to have my own home inspected. When I returned there was no evidence. I’ve spoke to all the people I was in contact with, including the airline. Plus I actively take all precautions when I travel, dirty clothes separated and sealed, nothing set on the floor or bed, nothing in closets, drawers or anything with upholstery. All signs, all measures, all deductions, all troubleshooting indicates it was at your hotel.

I expect a full refund and if not I will take this issue further. I am working with another manager who is familiar with MGM property loss prevention and is guiding me through this process.

I have already posted reviews on Google, Expedia, the MGM website, Travel Advisor and BBB, even though your hotel is not affiliated. As I mentioned before I’m utilizing CDCs information and resources. In addition I’ve convinced 3 people to cancel future stays. The biggest indicator, someone I know who stayed at the exact same time also was infested with bed bugs.

The fact there was quick action to move rooms and clean my clothes tells me this is a known and common issue. Other reviews and their frequency also indicate this heightened issue is a common occurrence. I expect a swift resolution with a full refund and no additional charges.

Again I will take this further if I need to. I’m not trying to threaten, simply displaying that I know what I’m doing and have the means and resources.

Ok. Here is the Stanford saga…

Wanna hear the full story of my trip to see BTS in Stanford? It’s a doozy. Buckle up.

Sat morning I left for the concert. Due to lack of sleep, I decided not to drive down to the airport and park my car, instead take the light rail. So I Lyft to the station, but I did not check that the light rail starts at 5am on the weekends. It takes an hour to get there, my TSA pre-check appointment was at 5:15, my flight was leaving at 7:15. So I thought I would go back and get my car - but oh wait - I canceled the parking!!! So I had to take a $90 Lyft down to the airport.

Now when I got to the airport, I didn’t even have to use my appointment bc there was nobody there, so I sat in the airport for way too long being way too tired.

The flight was perfect. I met up with my friend. We talked to other ARMY, we get to the rental car lot. I rented a small SUV but there were none available. So it was wait, or upgrade for $40 more to a really nice SUV, which I did bc we had to get ourselves settled to go to the show. It was Mercedes with lots of bells and whistles that we couldn’t figure out at first. But while sitting in the car I realized that I had a headache. I went to go get some Advil, but that’s when I discovered I left all of my prescription medication at home.

This is SO not me.

Luckily since I have Kaiser Permanente and they are in also California so I called to see if I could get emergency prescriptions. However, I was supposed to have a Northern California emergency medical ID number, but they couldn’t get that bc KP Washington needs to assign it, and is closed on the weekends. The gal on the phone was able to actually get me an emergency medical ID number and after about 3 hours, I was finally able to get my meds.

After lunch that took over an hour, because I decided to pick the busiest place, we get to the hotel around check in time at 3 PM (mind you we both landed at 10am) however they didn’t have a room ready until 4:15.

ARMY PSA - rideshares

If you’re going to use Uber/Lyft - NEVER and I mean NEVER take a ride from someone who solicits outside the app. Theyll try to say they’re with the company - don’t fall for it bc they are not. It is beyond unsafe, there will be no record of your ride.

I work within the ride share enforcement industry, we investigate and fine these fools.

If you see others being solicited, and feel comfortable, walk up and start talking to the ARMY, that will help deter them away and

trust you me, they will leave quickly bc they know what their doing is unlawful. Say “No thanks, we will hail through the app”

Please share this with others. Yes it will take longer sometimes, but your safety is paramount. It was rampant at Stanford and since we are mostly women, we need to stay safe 💜
