This didn't worry me, as I assumed Iran would eventually compromise and meet Trump halfway on Hormuz

I've just been informed Iran has rejected the latest Omani proposal on joint control of Hormuz, and the Houthis are even considering tolling the Bab al-Mandab Strait

And to add insult to injury, the Chinese will be excluded

Also, yesterday saw the first Iranian attack on U.S. forces trigerred by politcial factors, not retaliation for American actions. That is a significant escalation

If Iran's position does not change, I'm afraid Trump has no choice but to go back to war

Saw his reputation as legitimate online, asked Grok if he was a scam artist. Check everything I could find online about him. All looked good. He asked for $1k to open an account and start investing to trade cryptocurrencies. After it went through he asked me to send what I had to trade and invest. After another almost $9k and a couple good trades he asked me to do a trade bot for $4k then doing really well. He asked again for more crypto to fund my trades. Sold some tho gs for another $4k. Looked good on the platform, I was winning after 3 weeks I had substantial profits and was told I could make a withdrawal. tried and denied but they needed to pay their investors first so I needed to pay their 10_ upfront for another $34k to receive my $321k in interest profits. after further research I found out this is called a butcher pig scam. So I’ve now lost $18,938.90 in XRP and other cryptos to this man and company. He still thinks I can come up with the $34k and wants to continue to work with me. Have reported to FBI

During the World Wars, for instance, Congress and at least nine States allowed absentee ballots to arrive after election day in certain situations. See, e.g., 1918 Md. Laws p. 130; 58 Stat. 146 (noting that “any extension of time for the receipt of absentee ballots permitted by State laws shall apply” to federal “war ballot[s]” in World War II). Yet that practice returned to the margins within a few decades. By 1977, a report from the Department of Defense listed only two States as still allowing ballots to arrive after election day. See Overseas Absentee Voting: Hearing on S. 703 before the Senate Committee on Rules and Administration, 95th Cong., 1st Sess., 33–34 (1977). These short-lived outlier rules thus shed little light on the original meaning of “election” in the election-day statutes. Likewise, although post-election-day deadlines have become more widespread in the last five decades,5 these developments postdate the last election-day statute by over 50 years and the first statute by over a century. These late-in-time practices therefore count for little when discerning the timing restrictions that Congress imposed when it enacted those statutes.
