I am no great fan of rigid curfews, but this one is really the result of an artist with very little respect for promoters or the audience coming on stage really, really late.
Paul Simon at the end of the show last night. I did not think I’d get the chance to see him play live again but I am very glad I did.
Friendship were really excellent at The Dome tonight. There’s always something special about catching a band just as they reach a larger audience.
It does exist! (Last used copy on Amazon snapped up on the train after the screening). Thanks for organising this - a really excellent film, and quite different from the other Sayles films I’ve seen.
Post a pic of the venue where you saw your first concert and the band: This isn’t straightforward for me as my parents took me to lots of live music as a child but I tend to go with the first gig I went to without them specifically because I wanted to go.
Happy new year everyone! Quite glad to see the back of 2025 if I’m honest. Onwards!
Drink The Sea at the Jazz Cafe tonight - a very special evening and a fantastic final gig of 2025.
Shack were incredible tonight. So relieved to have seen Mick on much much better form. Lovely to get Byrds Turn To Stone this time too. Lots of love for John in the room as well, which is great to see.
