“Trans men have male Privilege” - The claim also completely ignores all the trans men who aren’t stealth or can’t “pass”, and trans men and mascs who don’t want to conform to how society thinks men “are supposed to look” (whatever that’s supposed to mean) #transmen #transcomic

Panel 1 - Online some people like to claim that:
“Trans men have male privilege”
Often in an attempt to discredit the valid experiences a lot of trans men go through.

Panel 2 - But you have to ask yourself this-

Panel 3 - Can it really be called privilege if it can just as easily be taken away the moment people find out he’s transgender?

Update on Moving out and Commission Call - Again, I really appreciate all the help I was given with my last comic talking about moving out, doing so many commissions was really fun and helped me a lot with pushing through when home life was getting even more difficult. #comic #commissioncall

A few months ago I put out a comic explaining that I needed to move out, because of my heavily religious and transphobic family, and opened my commissions for people to help out.

You all helped so much more than I was expecting. I was fully prepared to only have a few commissions, but never reach my goal this quick.

But I was proven wrong, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

A couple of weeks after I posted the comic, I found out I was eligible for a youth crisis housing program. So I worked with them to get a room, and moved out of home.

I didn’t tell my parents till the day I left, I left a letter explaining why I moved, where I was going and that I was safe and will have support, and how i wanted to try to rebuild our relationship. Taking my essentials and things that were worth a lot to me.

I’ve been out of home for 3 weeks, and it’s been great finally being able to be myself, to feel more independent and confident.

But this crisis housing program is only a temporary solution, while the staff are going to be helping me find my own place, I still am in a rough spot financially.

So I will still have my commissions open, with a new goal to have enough savings for a rental with a roommate.

I’m going to be using this for moving out, which I have finally found out a way to! I’ll go more into detail about it on a future comic. But you all have no idea how happy I was to see I will have enough, to experience how great this community is in real time. I can’t show my appreciation enough.

I remember my parents and their friends and family always taking opportunities to say homophobic stuff, especially when schools teaching about the LGBTQ was brought up. My parents would make me skip school on IDOHOBIT day and if the school was doing an event for pride month. #transcomic #exjw
