I’m glad to see this stuff picked up today and gone from my life but OTOH it might be the last clean air on earth.
I bought this a couple years ago when we started having a month of smoke every summer; I don’t need to guess how dangerous it is outside. Dim screen but currently 67.5 pm, “good” is below 50. Yesterday it peaked at 171.43, well into “unhealthy”.
An hour ago it was 100 degrees and I was floating in my swimming hole. Now it’s 85 and there’s thunder and lightning. At least the smoke has cleared.
Lots of logging around so feel privileged that these elk mamas feel safe enough to graze their babies in my back yard.
The little one is almost 18, the last of my feral barn cats that I forced into retirement. The big one is 2 and has never missed a meal. #caturday
One of my newish neighbors tried to “rescue” my dog because she was near the road (with me) on my own property. Then she told me I shouldn’t have dogs because of the elk. FTR my dogs are outside right now.
Elk visited today AND the first snowflakes of the winter; it could DEFINITELY happen today.
A wee bit of the aurora, but we get a light show every night it’s clear.
I saw this place 40 yrs ago today and bought it 3 days later. If you'd told me I'd still be here today, I'd have said damn right, this place is paradise, I'm never leaving.
