he/him | techno-optimist, ttrpg writer, ex-professional game developer, flightless bird, storyteller I write mainly about tabletop RPGs and my WIP hard SF ttrpg StateVector. Occasional left-wing politics.
State of the job market out there so bad, surveys don't even have "employed" as an option anymore smh
Name a TV show you're positive no one remembers but you. Mission Top Secret! It was probably quite big in Australia, but we got a dubbed version in Germany in the late 90s. I never met anybody who watched it, but I was super into it as a 6 year old! 😁
I mean I'd love to make a ttrpg for Agent Langelot, or how he was known in Germany: Agent Lennet. I ate those books up as a teenager. It was Bond without the sexism.
Looks so similar to ours back then 😍 same concerned look on its face, poor thing. This is ours, seen here questioning all her life choices.
Getting somewhere with the layout for #StateVector rpg. I'm still not super sure about the lore and rules text colorings. I like them in general, but not sure how often I should mark a specific word per spread. Is this okay or too much? Right now I only mark the first appearance per spread.
I'm happy to share with you the cover image for #StateVector :) there will be adjustments before release of course, but I'm already quite pleased with how it looks! Huge thanks to @lurnoise.bsky.social and @satelitesnaturales.bsky.social for their work on the illustration and logo design!
Apparently this is how to make hoglets poo and pee. Slow soft massage on the belly.
We found a tiny newborn hoglet next to its dead mama in our garden! She probably died from the heat. We called wildlife services and they will send someone around to pick her up. Until then we take care of her :) She got a box with a towel and a bottle with warm water to hug against.
#StateVector Catalog now renders nice trajectories for transfer orbits. They are not physically accurate yet, but a plausible approximation. Here's one from Earth to Mercury in 6 days. catalog.statevector-rpg.space/Sol That's enough time spent on this distraction, let's get back to game design :)
My little side project (but still related to #StateVector): An online 3D map tool you can use to explore the 20ly around us. It's still a WIP but will allow GMs of State Vector and other RPGs to explore the nearest stars and upload their own catalog for other settings.
Italy Is wild. You can have a side street that is 1000+ years old and looks like jack the ripper would be lurking about and then there's a VR Escape room in one of the buildings.
The amazing @lurnoise.bsky.social worked on this illustration for #StateVector. It shows a scene inside an O'Neill Cylinder space station in the hopeful future of my rpg setting. A diverse group of people live together and keep this place not just running but thriving.
I'm sorry, but the best dice are the ones with dogs on it! (Just got them today!)
Actually re-reading some old 1960s comics at the moment and they have these ads every few pages. Completely irrelevant to the comic (and modern live), but gives a great view into the mindset of 1960s american people. So I would argue that even weird ads may be worth preserving.
