He can, or call a special election, or require the hospital allow him.. HIPAA: (e) Standard: Disclosures for judicial and administrative proceedings — (1) Permitted disclosures. A covered entity may disclose protected health information in the course of any judicial or administrative proceeding:
I am not a lawyer. But I AM familiar w HIPAA. It allows release of minimal necessary medical information for many purposes. One of those purposes is "any judicial or administrative proceeding", (such as deciding whether Kentucky needs to hold an election for Senator.) @govandybeshear.bsky.social
After ALL the infighting in the Maine Dem party, the bottom line is STILL VOTE BLUE NO MATTER WHO!! You're not going to marry them. You just want ONE more Dem seat in the Senate.
I hope the DNC reads the writing on the wall. "In Pew Research Center surveys over the past year, most people have told us they are dissatisfied with the way things are going in the United States" "some wealthy people don’t pay their fair share" A lot 59% Some 21% (total 80%)!
Dissolving Social glue Trust is a key component of the social capital that “enables participants to act together more effectively to pursue shared objectives” In survey data, trust is measured by so-called generalized trust—how much a person trusts unspecified people rather than friends or family.
You can see the entire crowd behind the shill at 1:08, all 6 of them.
And working class Americans are dissatisfied because their personal experience is going downhill. They're DYING. The 91-99th%ile has done OK-and that's who the DNC represents. The top 1% got $79 TRILLION given to them by the 90%. No wonder ppl are mad.
Fascinating to read the exchanges here. Trump endorses Rep Senator's OPPONENT in primary, and TFFG can't figure out why he no longer has his vote! Also Senators talking about Trump as if this is all business as usual, not a rolling coup while Trump loots the Treasury.
Two gems of 'change just one event' (Sliding Doors style) alternate history.
We're running box fan filters in the house like we did for the wildfires & Covid in our offices. Smelled the smoke this am.
True of psychopaths and fascists. The lies are to keep others off their case.
How do empires usually fail? Empires usually die from suicide related to their own successes. Elites in a reasonably stable and successful society come to believe that they don’t need the state, and so they basically termite the state, hollow it out...
Medicare is not free. It's paid for by taxes and user fees. Are sidewalks socialism? City water? How about the Clean Air Act that's saved more lives (millions) than any other US law?
Headlamp for helmet-attach w zip ties. The zoom feature means I can make it wide for max 'being seen' or narrow for max 'seeing road surface'. The blink is good for getting car attention as they shoot out of driveways or exit ramp at Target. This one came w decent 18650s but a 2mm pin charger.
Like a car low beam. But I haven't seen anything like that for sale here, unless the lights in the first pic are similar (they say they are) Round knockoffs and the rounded oblong lights have been very bright. I attach the headlamp to helmet w zip ties, ignore the head straps.
I will NOT become a paid subscriber because of your abusive auto-renewal policy. I suspect if you gave subscribers the CHOICE to auto-renew, many would. You can't engage in the same abusive practices and claim you're 'for the good guys.' Abuse is abuse.
Cars are great for the first 10 ppl in an area who use them, then rapidly become a "necessary" frustration, as their space inefficiency clogs streets and slows transportation for all. Helicopters are the new cars.
As I understand it, most farming subsidies go to big business too. The problem is BIGNESS. IMHO, best addressed with a progressive tax on GROSS income to reverse benefits of mergers, and promote competition and healthy markets.
MANY factors contribute to high home costs, but high demand and low supply is the MAIN reason. Of course, rich ppl buying up housing as investments raises prices, but that's an effect of WEALTH INEQUALITY and oligarchy in general. Oligarchy affects other markets much more, eg meat, energy, retail.
Half of all children die makes low quality of life, in my opinion.
Reaction to car deaths & COSTS was how the Netherlands became a walking/bicycle miracle: We can do this!

The solution to funding mass transit in the Bay area is a license plate driven congestion tax, dedicated to mass and people-powered transit. Fewer cars, more bikes, more sidewalks, more trains/buses. Eliminate parking places, enact surcharges for oversize vehicles: look at Paris!
Whatever about AP, and it does wander into and get bogged down in the swamp, but makes a good point:
