Why did Argentina invade The Falklands?

Argentina invaded the Falkland Islands in 1982 to reclaim a territory it claimed was rightfully its own and to secure an "endearing distraction". The military dictatorship, facing severe economic crises and massive public unrest over human rights abuses, hoped a patriotic victory would unite the country and save their failing regime.

The roots of the 1982 Falklands War are a mix of historical grievances, resource ambitions, and a desperate political gamble.

Mother and child, Nepal. I shot this for @altusaid.altgov.info whose project restored the health of malnourished children and educated mothers about proper nutrition. These mothers then took that knowledge back to their villages and passed it on, saving other little ones.
