I keep having reasons to post this - saved from 2020 when the SF skies got especially funky. Dislike.
I'm close to the mood where I'm likely to just start ranting about multiple topics. No one really wants that. Instead - here, have a bird. This Bushtit is especially birby in this photo. I'm just stunned that one held still long enough for this level of accurate focus. #birb
Tonight’s dinner is “what’s in the fridge I need to use up?” In this case it turned into miso-glazed sockeye over some fresh udon noodles. Definitely works for me - yum!
Ah, found it! Here's my best of that region. It's pretty noisy - really needs more signal. Pretty though!
Sorry, too many political and soccer posts in a row. As a form of apology, here's a Booby.
I think context is a big big part of "what is a map". This image, for example, is most definitely a map. I sure can't read it nor do I understand it at all - just some sticks and rocks. But someone with the right context can look at one of these and actually sail between distant islands. Very cool!
Apparently #Quackers is the theme today for #birdoftheday. So - here's a literal odd duck for all of you to consider!
Okay, too many serious posts. Here, have a birb. (This Spotted Dove was blissfully unaware of, well, anything at all and was just high-stepping across the lawn without a care in the world. Lucky bird.)
Back at Davies for the last concert of the season for me. They’ve got the organ console out so you know this is going to get loud later. (Saint-Saëns 3rd symphony, yay!)
I'm feeling kinda cranky. Instead of ranting, here, have a bird. (Mōlī are really very cool looking birbs!)
Or these. We used to have proper connectors with real bolts to make sure nothing came loose.
Too many recent posts about terrible things, so here's a nice photo of a Kōlea in penance. (Check the alt text for fun bird facts.)
Apparently, today's #BirdOfTheDay theme is #NegativeSpace. I've got a few of those that I like, but let's go with this Brown Pelican who's definitely Going Somewhere. I used this for the cover of one of my calendars since the space made for a great place to put a title. Pretty happy with this shot!
This is an astounding nice image of M91! Mine's not quite as good. :) 'tis a faint beastie!
The accusation of being a vegan is getting a hilarious rebuttal from Talarico. Paxton can't event lie very well - just an atrocious human.
Apparently this is a thing today? Easy - gonna go with my profile pic of this Nēnē just chilling out. #BirdOfTheDay #Headshots #Birds
The Roberts Court will probably reverse this too. Madness. (Infographic courtesy of @theonion.com)
I mean - you gotta wash up after a long commute, right? (I love when I get to use this picture!)
It's that day, but let's make it excessively Anglican and hilarious instead.
