My cousin is driving out at 3am to pull out his family from camping because a forest fire blew up near them. My mum's entire childhood hometown has been evacuated. Fire grew to over 50km² in three hours from discovery. Summer fun isn't what I remember.

Just another day in the great city of #Autowa. At this same intersection, I almost got run down by a driver in a slip lane that was following the #Ottawa traffic rule, "If I don't look at you, you don't exist."

Anyone know what @ncc-ccn.gc.ca is doing with the trails at Parc des Rapids-Deschênes? They've laid down about 4 inches of soft gravel making them totally unbikeable. I'd thought maybe it was for paving but they've just left them like this. #Ottawa #OttBike #GatVelo

Why is no one using our bike lanes?

Pick up truck parked in a painted bike lane that is supposed to allow bikes to go against the flow of traffic. Instead bikes will have to swerve into oncoming traffic.

I'm a big tough truck, but also I need to take the lane (the entire roadway) to navigate speed bumps.

Still ice on the river but nothing on the trail to stop our mini bike bus. It was - 7°C but just a few complaints of cold.

I had to go check and my kid's geography textbook has this figure. In text too small to read it says the 1927 boundary is "non définitif".
