You were right as according to Google it was a CGI model. Still would've been a nice callback if even a bit of it was put in the film somewhere. Well for now we do have a glimpse at the pre-'09 film Enterprise in comic form.
I remember coming across this fan project years ago if memory serves. Think it was also the one where they were forced to doing there own thing and told to remove the Star Trek stuff from it. Below is the design I remember though so cool to see an earlier version of it, it seems?
Bit of a speculative thought but learned about a scene in #StarTrek III that is usually mulled over about the Enterprise being 20 years old. This got me thinking about the size difference between the SNW and TOS versions and the Sombra class here. (1/2)
Cool. The top right one reminds me of the appropriators from Helldivers they added recently.
Definitely looks like something is there though and may be worth exploring. Or maybe throw ideas at when bored to see what happens. Mech designs look pretty cool.
Bit of progress on the NISO class from #TheLunarWar. Looks like a mess because painting with rattle cans is iffy apparently even with tape. Still, focusing on main lines and hopefully clean up after these will have it looking better. Slowly learning but looking better than the start!
Confederacy of Vulcan vessels; Tal'Kyr, D'Kyr, and Suurok classes. Was unsure if the shuttle (the Tal'Kyr) had a VSS designation or not so we're going without. Before asking where the Tellarites are don't worry we just need to acquire that ship still. (3/3)
Andorian fleet currently in the game; Kumari class prototype and the Stalking Makras variant. (2/3)
Finally able to do this a bit but from #StarTrekOnline some ships from the 2nnd century. Starfleet here has; Daedalus, NP, NV, and NX refit classes. (1/3)
Been a hot minute since doing this but thought I'd show off a small project for #StarTrekOnline universe related stuff. I got the new ENT era bundle but it will take time to gather those images and such so patience on them. Meanwhile the STO wiki (dot) net should have a few more of these from me.
Very excited about this Disclosure Day movie coming up. They actually added the Grey's clicking language, crystal tech is used, and the ships (seen below) do seem to follow typical grey smooth designs. Oh and a men in black/mj-12 director is the villain it seems.
Still have yet to know if I'm the only one debating if this may be true with the ufo stuff too.
Yeah been saying they need to add more ENT era ships because it's like the one era it seems they actively want to avoid doing. If memory serves I recall at a convention they said it was because they didn't want to do time travel stuff again. Oh and do you recall those cool Tholian ships from SU?
I remember a scam using credit cards as a means of verification once. I'm curious if anyone else is raising more eyebrows at this here.
Think after nine layers of white paint, three layers of primer, and using putty to fill in gaps I've done what I can currently. Gonna be interesting to see how the rest is gonna go. #TheLunarWar .
Special thanks to @geektoylove.bsky.social for this approx. 1/10000 scale of Halo's Phoenix class vessel for the stardock. Yes the little D20 Herons, or firebases, are included so very great to see these details.
Paradox class from the New Frontier comics. No one has tried tomake a 3d model of it. It seems to be one of the few ships that has gone under the radar for a lot of fans. Yet it has one of the coolest abilities; it weaponizes time dilation if I understand the comic correctly.
I think the Nebula class variants for #StarTrekOnline are complete for now. Really interesting seeing how many variants there are. From L to R; Melbourne, Farragut, Phoenix, and the original launch versions.
Shout-out to @geektoylove.bsky.social for this UNSC Spirit of Fire display that arrived a few days ago! Definitely might attempt to acquire that ship in the future now to go with it. We'll see.
Little more progress and needing to figure out where all the fiddly bits go as well as painting but at least we have a basic somewhat full shape now! #TheLunarWar
Wasn't able to get before images but here's what I found on the STO wiki net for the original model.
I can agree it definitely looks better and still happy they're keeping to the overall shape. I have been curious that with enough changes now if the original STO stuff could be a separate timeline at this point? They've done a lot of updating even since I started.
Near futuristic space battleship built and primed. Eh somewhat. Fabricators in the port are still new but we're getting there! #TheLunarWar
Huh. Hard to tell but it looks closer to the first game's version just a bit chonkier.
