Books, films & music lover. Nuts about nature, green spaces & my garden. Tree-hugger, head in the clouds, chasing butterflies. Here for photos, laughs & interaction.
My holiday reading, when I've finished the current 3 that I've got on the go!
One of my favourite spots in my garden. I call it hanging out with the hydrangeas (happily sheltered under a beautiful acer) ❤️
For those who are struggling and in a hard place (me included) . . . nature shows us that even in the hard, cracked, inhospitable places/times we can still be blooming beautiful ❤️ 🤗
My hydrangea hangout is looking promising. Should be rather colourful when they start blooming! #bloomscrolling
A very brief excerpt from Gladiator suite - excuse the dodgy/ shaky start. Normally I am glued to the percussionists (I love drummers, baby) - but I admit by the end of the concert I had a wee crush on the conductor ❤️
I'm at the Royal Albert Hall for RPO Film Music Gala - and I've been upgraded (to a Grand Tier box) with cracking views. Oh and it is scorching here in London town 😅
Strolling. Whitby. Too much time has passed since my last visit - must go back soon.
For the love of bees, our fabulous, fuzzy indispensible friends 🐝 ❤️ (Just now in the garden)
I am not a 'crafter' - my creative outlet is the garden, but I have enjoyed learning kinusaiga (Japanese patchwork). Just finished my first attempt . . . it isn't the best, but I quite like it 😊 I might frame it or bling up the border! 👇
Pimms & lemonade on the patio. Tall glass no added extras. My reward for potting up 2 new acers (Shiraz and flamingo) and potting on 5 houseplants. Might have a bit of a rest now (before de-spidering/cobwebbing my outside storage container)!
A little bit of Birmingham Pride! I survived my outing . . . and really enjoyed Mamma Mia
A tale of 9 Acers (10 if you include the one at the bottom of the garden) Say hello wave goodbye
Asking for just one reason to stay . . . chances are the decision to leave has already been made
Okay, time to fess up. Been really struggling with a virus which has taken me out with 2 falls and a submission (wrestling lingo from my childhood!) BUT I walked home through a park today and it felt like spring. THEN I belted out Woman in Love with Barbra Streisand. I might just pull through! 😅
This is what I was up to yesterday - Matthew Bourne's The Red Shoes at Milton Keynes. Stunning performance!
Vox pop Rugby? . . . "The words of the prophets Are written on the subway walls And tenement halls And whispered in the sounds of silence"
