Thank you @sbellefeuille.bsky.social It’s hard reading not just people’s comments, but the US lawmakers threatening Canadian govt with what isn’t even coherent repercussions we’ll face by the US if we don’t manage our wildfires: globalnews.ca/news/1196860... Reposting with alt text 💔 #ClimateCrisis
My immediate thought yesterday when I woke up to a hazardous purple 378 AQI wildfire smoke forecast I’d never seen in Toronto, then looked out the window and the yellow orange sky was now white, was how many people were going to spend time outdoors thinking it was safer when it was actually worse. 😓
US lawmakers living in tinder-dry conditions shouldn’t sling flaming arrows. American wildfires in 2026 so far: www.nifc.gov/fire-informa... Canadian wildfires in 2026 so far: cwfis.cfs.nrcan.gc.ca/en/summary Both countries need to stop spending trillions on defence & deal w/ their burning houses
“Who knows what other childhood curiosities are quietly growing into world-changing ideas right now in bedrooms, backyards and notebooks across the globe? The next big breakthrough might not come from a high-tech lab. It might come from a 10-year-old who just can’t stop wondering about butterflies”💖
Maybe Americans and Europeans need to boycott Canadian oil because our wildfires are hurting you all too. That’s the only thing that will make PM Carney reconsider abandoning climate targets, investing in more pipelines and ignoring solar & wind. This is off the charts scary. #cdnpoli #ClimateCrisis
I have no words. Except I hope you can stay indoors today, Toronto & Ontario. Run an air purifier and hope this ends soon. All I can hear in my head is David Suzuki saying “It’s too late. What we need to do now is hunker down.” Build resilient community and help each other thru emergencies 😭 #dlws
The ticks make it so you can’t eat meat, the parasites make it so you can’t eat fruits and veggies, and the bloodsucking grocery profiteers make it so you can’t eat any food at all.
Bradford spent years campaigning as a cycling advocate. Now kissing up to drivers to get votes. He’s abandoned HIMSELF—not to be trusted! 🐍 #TOpoli Alt text for quote post: FIXING ADELAIDE STREET ✔️Remove the barriers ✔️Improve traffic flow ✔️Move more streetcars to King Street Brad Bradford for Mayor
A golden end to a dark heavy day. A preview of lightness to come? #FlowerReport #Bloomscrolling
Interesting insights on how society has chosen to forget and ignore the ongoing pandemic, making us more fearful, even turning to authoritarianism for security. But developing a more conscious awareness of death can help us make decisions that aren’t fear-based www.halifaxexaminer.ca/morning-file...
I know this is not a solution to your problem but it made me think of this amazing sweater I saw on ‘Survival of the Thickest’ and I want to find a way to do this with 2 sweaters in need of repair. 💖
A fun and inspiring way to spend an afternoon, especially if you’re a creative person, too. Lots of kids there loving it all, if you’re wondering what to do with yours this summer. Also, did you know the RBG has evening outdoor summer concerts? Lido Pimienta, Patrick Watson & BADBADNOTGOOD! 🤩
I won’t spoil it for you but in addition to 18 fun, colourful sculptures set among the blooming gardens, there are a few augmented reality characters to discover too so make sure your phone is fully charged to find them with QR codes. There’s short audio by the artist talking about each piece, too!
Got my fill of whimsy today at the outdoor pop art experience ‘ANCHORBALL: A Curious Art Journey’ by artist & sculptor Ken Kelleher. It’s on all summer at the Royal Botanical Gardens in Burlington if you’re in the area and also want to add some whimsy to your life! #Art www.rbg.ca/events/ancho...
Oh that’s odd, because if you set that toggle to require alt text, it literally can’t post if you haven’t added alt text. The Post button is not even clickable.
You can set it so you never forget it because it won’t let you post until you add the alt text. Go to Settings > Accessibility 👇
“Buzz off, this is my energy drink!” Toronto, 31°C at 6pm, feels like 41°C (humidex) 🥤🥵 #FlowerReport #Bloomscrolling

Found these floor decals outside a Staples store the other day. I’m sure the scene was bumpin’ as folks waited in line outside for their turn to outfit their home office in 2020 & ‘21. I’m also sure those new desks, chairs and filing cabinets are now collecting dust as they rushed back to work ASAP.
My favourite view of the CN Tower is anywhere north of midtown where it’s pretty much visible thru any clearing. I love seeing it when I round the entrance ramp to the 401 East from near Yorkdale. I even loved being surprised to see it so far away from Hwy 7 in Markham yesterday. Our South Star ⭐️
