The smoke from the Canadian wildfires is really bad today in DC. 🥴 You’d normally be able to see the Washington Monument in the third pic, but no such luck today.
🔹One would have hoped we could have stamped out this shitty, intolerant garbage long ago. The iconic Christopher Plumber ripping a Nazi flag in The Sound of Music
Today is America's 250th anniversary -- and while it's certainly an achievement to be celebrated, it’s also a fitting time for an acknowledgement that we still have a lot we need to improve on, including overcoming masked Confederate losers like these here from Patriot Front.
Today is a great day to vote in DC’s important primary — but also ESPECIALLY in California for the governor and LA mayoral races (truly, don’t screw this up, California).
As highlighted in this morning's @straightarrownews.bsky.social newsletter... On This Day 1918: President Woodrow Wilson's Standard Time Act went into effect, advancing clocks by an hour and creating what's now known as daylight saving time. 😒😒😒 But also the messaging -- "Get Your Hoe Ready" 😆
Oh, you’re mad about… 🔸 A war of choice with Iran 🔸 Skyrocketing gas and energy prices 🔸 Long TSA wait lines 🔸 A flailing economy 🔸 The rich getting ever richer and you getting left behind May you enjoy the Republican + Trump trifecta you voted for, America — and everything that goes with it.
Peak Bloom Weekend! 🌸🌸🌸 And the Bubble Bunts won our kickball game 11-0! 🙌

Very much hoping this is our last hurrah of winter 😒❄️🥶 — good riddance! And very much looking forward to being in the mid to upper 70s this weekend! 🥹☀️ Bring on spring! 🌷🌼🌹
Look at these FRIGID temps! 🥶 Not looking like we’ll get above freezing in DC until a week from Monday — on Feb. 2nd. 🥶 + 😭
Because nothing says it's a free press like this -- yikes. Shame CBS completed gave into the regime -- just a complete act of cowardice and short-term thinking. www.nytimes.com/2026/01/17/b...
"𝗚𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀. 𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝘀𝘂𝗻𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲..." 🎶 ☀️ This really does seem like a no-brainer in terms of energy tech to support (not to mention long overdue). ☀️⚡️

Last stop before heading home to D.C. tonight. Been a fun trip back to the emerald city but I’m ready to make the trek back eastbound.
It’s been entirely too cold so far in late November into December in D.C. 🥶🥶🥶 I don’t know how you folks in like Boston and Chicago put up with worse than this on the regular and for longer.
I will say, I do love living in D.C. very much in spite of this 💩 presidential admin. We’ve got: 🔹 The best metro system in the nation Ⓜ️ (thanks, @wmata.com — and sorry, not sorry NYC) 💁🏻♂️ 🔹A beautiful, walkable city that also BUILDS🚶♂️🏗️ Very happy to be here in my long term home. 🙂
Back and operational after some tinkering after WMATA updated some of its coding. 🥹
Since strong men are en vogue again 🫠, might as well dress up as Lord Farquaad for this year’s Halloween.🤴🏻
Stopped by the No Kings Rally in Montpelier 🚫👑 — love to see the turnout and standing up against this corrupt Trump admin! 👏👏👏 This is American patriotism from people who deeply love their country and demand better from its leaders. 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
I’ve had lunches with worse views — a sandwich w/ a view along Lake Champlain 😍🍁🍂
Vermont morning fall vibes — hard to resist when a friend says you should come up and visit during peak fall colors 😍🍂🍁
