I’ve been struggling to find joy or solace lately…the events of the past week alone have felt like so so much, and I worry that the tender part of me is breaking under the weight of it all. Been trying to take photos of moments of beauty when they happen so I can hold on to them a little longer.
Everything is truly terrible, but the Doctor memes are giving me life this morning.

Everything is awful, but the other day I picked up this beautiful plant at a neighbor’s yard sale while I was out walking, and the blooms are bringing me joy in amidst the horrors. I’m trying to stay rooted in the gratitude for what is in the midst of swells of grief for all that is lost or dying.

No matter how powerful the forces of authoritarianism and fascism are, I continue to believe that the forces of love and compassion and good are stronger.
