Going through an archive, previously kept in the digital dungeon that is DVD, of old papers. Here, I found lovingly-preserved submission letter from 1995, to the New England Review. The story is in that archive, too--an attempt at lit fic. It's bad. But the submission letter is an artifact!
I finished "Witchmark" by C.L. Polk last night. I enjoyed this one, though I found the mystery element fairly predictable. (Obvious Bad Guy is Obvious Bad Guy). I thought the world building was excellent, and the romance element was gentle and lovely.
I also recently read "Three Parts Dead" by Max Gladstone. This is a book that does the "page-turner" trick of constantly breaking scenes and POVs every couple of pages. I generally don't mind switching POVs, but . . .
I recently got the library bug again. I had stopped going after Hurricane Harvey absolutely destroyed our local branch, and once a habit is lost, it's hard to pick up again. :P Anyhow, my favorite new book so far is The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennet. Incredible mystery and worldbuilding!

Book mail day! I love getting to see my name on the covers. . . and the stories inside are going to be FUN.
#AugurMicros2025 @augursociety.bsky.social While this is far more of a wish, a dream, or a poem, I hope that Augur takes it in the spirit it's intended. <3
As we hit the 3/4 mark of a very, very long year, I thought I'd celebrate a bit with the stuff I've managed to bring into the world this year.

The last piece of art from Jay for the book! This is a Collector. You definitely don't want to meet one in a dark alley. But if you do. . . you probably won't remember the experience. Probably. #ttrpg Mists & Memory
