X-Men 97's Jeremy Polgar confirmed the series' animation was 99% traditionally animated - not 2D drawn over CG renderings. It's easy to get fooled because you don't expect lines that look this clean in a style specifically made to look like the original

it's a real shame the evangelion franchise ended with the "end of evangelion" movie, i really wish there were infinite spinoffs and reboots
