Deepnight Games ⚔️
@deepnight
One-man game studio making Tenjutsu ( with Devolver. I love making games. Previously: 🔥DeadCells (lead) / 🧯Nuclear Blaze ( / 🗺️ ldtk.io / 💀Have a Nice Death
Me, day 1: "I'll never add any parry to Tenjutsu" Me, day 760: "Here comes the Nunchaku"
"Oh bah ça va, rien de ce qui a été compromis ne risque de générer une infinité de scams extrêmement bien ciblés" (fuite de données chez Almerys, partenaire de CNP assurances)
Just reworked enemy's attack telegraph, and re-added (and fixed) the automatic reverse elbow kick that happens if you attack someone in your back. It adds a LOT to the feeling of brawling
Today I fixed a recent code regression with "movement AI" in Tenjutsu that used to allow enemies to circle the player. Now it works waaay better :)
The visuals in Orbitals are out of this world. Especially impressed by how they mixed 2D/3D and render techniques to recreate the original anime style from early 90s... It's crazy.
That makes it even better, love you RarLab <3 (and yes, I bought my licence back in 2006!)
When "Premium" doesn't reaaaally mean premium, cause there's some "Premium+". Can't wait for Premium Ultra+. And that, my friend, is the day I can definitely say f** y** to X.
Raider Kid And The Ruby Chest finally found a way to its release day, on March 31th! It's been a 10yrs+ journey for the team and their love letter to simpler times, heavily inspired by Rick Dangerous (but waaaay less hardcore). Go play the demo if you haven't heard of this hidden gem <3
Yesterday was my birthday, so I decided to make Nuclear Blaze 80% off on Steam for a very limited time 🎁 🧡

Fun "fact": the beveled pixel effect people know my jam games for is a visual trick I borrowed from Albion.
Every. Freaking. Single. Action. Scene. Nowadays. CAN'T YOU JUST DRAW YOUR F**ING WEAPONS IN A NORMAL WAY?!
I added this "Combat game speed" option as an Accessibility feature, and now I always play using it. All combats now feel like Matrix. Basically, think of Celeste "game speed", but only during combats.
There's quite a lot of different things to do in Tenjutsu: - Open stalls to buy delicious onigiri in Tako Food Co districts, - Unlock hidden key safes in Iron Syndicate controlled areas, - Re-open and plunder Neon Dragons jewelries, and pretend that all the shiny things were yours from the beginning
One tiny underestimated feature I love in Firefox is the native ability to pop-out videos over your desktop apps. Great when waiting for compiling times
Fast traveling in Tenjutsu is a free service from the Golden Boy Cycle Co™. Ride with style with one of our famous yellow bike through the dangerous streets of Kuroboro!
@spookydoorway.bsky.social Hi! I absolutely loved the gameplay trailer of the game :) I have a single question: Séance at Blake Manor seems to share a few visual concepts and gameplay mechanics with Mortville Manor. Is it an inspiration for the team? Just a big fan asking :)
