39, gay, legal, of no fixed abode Australia (this was true when I joined Bluesky and remains substantially correct)
I’m such a nerd, sitting in a cafe in a Nice and the most interesting thing I can’t stop looking at is all the holiday traffic number plates driving past…France, Italy, Germany, Netherlands, Belgium, UK (feat rh steering wheel), Albania, Hungary, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Ukraine.
A cave with wine in it. The wine was free and self serve. The water was for a fee in the honesty box. Oh yeah we crossed and international border walking the 40m from the path.
A first for me, giving plasma yesterday. It was going at a cracking pace but then blood started leaking out beside the dirty great needle so they called a stop for the day. The actual time connected to the machine was short compared to the whole process.
Happy Yazz everyone, days are getting longer now. From here The Only Way is Up. It’s not so murky and dark today but put on the song and dance around and have a silly time to celebrate the solstice.
From the plane window I could see lots of somewhat wishful bike path infrastructure in the Abu Dhabi suburbs. Yes, good to build it. Alas, I don’t know it would get much use.
Feeling seen by duo, it’s been a busy few months (mostly taking random trips).
A kebab gyro in Athens is €3.80 ($6.24) and I think that was an expensive place. It’s a bit smaller than you’d get in Australia but that’s perfectly fine. It’ll go nicely with a €1.50 can of beer from little shop I walked past.
ABC international service plays prime time AFL in Fiji, up the Swans! #aflswanstigers
The beauty of the perfectly coordinated waves, it’s a synchronised 2 phase oscillation. www.theguardian.com/business/202...
Family worried about the communism hiding in the budget. As I said to dad, mate neither you nor I are rich enough to be bothered to care about any of this. We are safe. Until we strike it mega rich and are multi millionaires with big net wealth ratings, it’s ok. We’ll be fine.
It’s official. Leading star for ‘Australia’s shittiest capital airport’ now the front runner. However in good news, QF pax can enjoy the glamorous surrounds of the HBA Virgin lounge.
Ok well no puddles this morning from the dog affectionately known (as you go to get out the mop) as the Little Pisser.
I was around the corner in Tangen the last week of March 2010; the whole place was blanketed in snow and the lake was still mostly frozen over. It looks fairly warm there today.
Ok this is ridiculous and I am thinking I’ve messed up the calculation… nope… in the last year of driving a Polestar we’ve done about 10,0000km. The actual electricity used to charge the car cost a total of $370, and that’s ignoring what we got for free from the sun off the roof. Madness.
Slightly rare southbound approach to Canberra today. Umm, Action bus in the hills, go home you’re drunk (also don’t drive drunk).
New Qannas a220 seat covers. The old ones got really nasty really quickly. These are just already-nasty pleather so..spray and wipe?
This fridge magnet souvenir from my friend’s 2015 trip to the US didn’t age well. Firstly, the Newseum is long gone, and secondly ‘prove it’… lol alas and unfortunately such an idea that things people in power say should be demonstrably true is but a fever dream now.
Flew myself across the Bass Strait yesterday. There’s a lot of very small islands I hadn’t appreciated. Also pictured here, Tasmania’s land border with Victoria.
