I don’t know vivien3daggers, never interacted with them in any way. But this makes me wonder what they’re doing the last few days. I guess this is because someone put me on a list, and then people use those lists to block all?
Here is the finished screenprint made from the film positives in the previous post.
More film positives for screenprinting, in this case one film cut up into mosaic pieces and then reconstructed onto four separate films (so they can be four colors in the final print). I am printing as well, but they’re still simmering a bit as I figure out color and I don’t want to post them yet.
Texas State Printmaking was asked by Glasstire to make a print for Vincent Valdez, as part of a suite of five prints (5 Texas artists, paired with 5 Texas printers) to celebrate Glasstire’s 25th anniversary. I am very proud of these students that assisted and of the project.
Drawings and/or film positives for screenprinting. This is black oil stick on clear film, used to expose screens for screenprinting. I am very excited about these, even tho they have a ways to go.
This is a film positive that will be used to make a screenprint. It is a sort of drawing on transparent film. In this case, it’s also a rubbing with cut paper beneath it. Here it is seen on top of a light box, which shows it how the screen will see it when it’s exposed.
A friend that randomly sends me photographs of my work in his house — because he notices how the light changes it — makes me immeasurably happy.

I finished a fence behind my house. 8’6” tall, first 24” are gabion cage filled with local limestone, horizontal wood above, both sides identical. I’m proud of it.

Been working on a fence. Gabion cage filled with local limestone for first 24”, then wood above to the top. Gabions are full!
I am building a back fence and here is progress. Base is a 24” tall gabion filled with limestone. Above that will be horizontal wood boards. Posts every 4’ (I may have overbuilt lol)

Our current government is stealing from us all, but hey, I have good compost. I know this does not balance anything but composting makes me very happy.
I am digging post holes for a new fence. I don’t l know what they did on this hill in the last 150 yrs, but I’ve heard theories. Burying deer was definitely one of them. At least, I think those are deer bones.
