Democratic Women’s Caucus
@demwomencaucus
All 97 Democratic women of the House, fighting for women every day. | Chair @fernandez.house.gov | Vice Chairs @scholten.house.gov and Emilia Sykes
@ocasio-cortez.house.gov and @sarajacobs.house.gov are doing tremendous work fighting the stigma and pulling back the curtain on the cost and access American women have to reproductive care. We stand with them
The American people are sick and tired of men in power abusing women. This ends now.
Serving in Congress is an incredible privilege. Men like Max Miller do not deserve to serve in Congress.
Justice for survivors isn't a publicity stunt, Senator Tillis and Senator Cornyn. These women are real people who suffered horrific trauma at the hands of rich and powerful men. They deserve better. Stop coving for Trump. Reject Blanche's nomination.
We are calling for Rep. Chuck Edwards to resign after a House Ethics investigation found he sexually harassed two women in his office. Serving in Congress is a privilege and honor. Members are expected to act with integrity and dignity and must be held accountable when they fail to do so.
Trump is hellbent on making it impossible for women to vote. The SAVE America Act would make his dream come true. DWC member @goodlander.house.gov talks about it on ABC News with Linsey Davis. .
We are calling on the Ethics Committee to launch a thorough investigation into Representative Miller following disturbing reports of domestic violence and child abuse. No one is above accountability—including Members of Congress.
ICE is denying parents in ICE detention the ability to contact their children, leaving families in dangerous limbo. Trump and Republicans enable this behavior by carelessly throwing more money at ICE and CBP without oversight measures. Women, families, and their children deserve better.
Republicans just won’t let this zombie of a bill die. They’re shoving the SAVE America Act into every vote they can because they know it won’t pass on its own. We’ll continue to fight to defeat this bill no matter what.
Hate to be the one to tell you this, but if you read your own bill you’d know it’s not even a real ban. You’re just trying to get a headline. If you talked to the women who are working on this, maybe you’d get it right. We look forward to your support of our bill that will actually do something.
Voting is a Constitutional right, not a treat. Registering to vote is not the same as buying a Never Ending Pasta Pass at Olive Garden. Republicans will say anything to hide the fact that the SAVE Act will disenfranchise millions of women voters.
Anti-equality Republicans were never going to stop at trans inclusion. The Heritage Foundation says Title IX is a "failed experiment" & women should stick with activities "more aligned with average female interests" like yoga. It's clear their target is Title IX and ALL women.
Pete Hegseth does not believe women or people of color should serve in the military. He is unfit for this position and needs to be removed. DWC Servicewoman, Women Veterans, and Military Families Task Force Chair @houlahan.house.gov Hegseth's attack on women servicemembers.
Republicans are so desperate to block women from voting that they snuck the SAVE America Act into an unrelated spending bill as it heads to the Senate. We won't back down.
She’s a superwoman on and off the Hill. Congressional Black Caucus Liaison Lucy McBath has made ending gun violence her mission. Learn more about what drives her fight!
It’s been a year since the so-called One Big Beautiful Bill became law. Here's what it cost us:
Happy 4th of July! Today marks 250 years of women shaping and building this country. Today, we celebrate how far we've come and acknowledge how much further we have to go. We will keep fighting until the promise of America is real for everyone.
62 years ago, the Civil Rights Act of 1964 was signed into law. Now, President Trump and Republicans are attacking voting rights, peddling discrimination in the workplace, and banning anything they perceive as ‘diversity.’ Today and everyday, we will continue fighting for equality.
Women deserve access to quality healthcare before, during, and after pregnancy. Cuts to maternal health, family planning services, and lifesaving research put women and their families at risk. We are standing up for the investments women need to stay healthy and safe.
Children who experience gun violence live with lifelong trauma. Families and children deserve to be safe. Now is the time to take action and protect our loved ones. We will never stop working to end gun violence.
4 years ago today, Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson became the first African American woman to serve as a Justice on the Supreme Court of the United States.
Equal opportunity in education did not happen by accident. It happened because generations of women and girls demanded to be seen, heard, and treated fairly. For more than five decades, Title IX has opened doors that were once closed.
You asked and she answered. Chairwoman Teresa Leger Fernández opens up about the women who inspire her and her guilty pleasure TV show. Do you have a question for the members of the Democratic Women’s Caucus? Comment below!
Under Trump’s economy, inflation just hit a 3-year high. Mortgage rates are up. Medical costs are soaring. Housing is out of reach. His response? “I love the inflation.” Democratic women are fighting for the families he's ignoring.
Women deserve healthcare policies that address their needs from birth to retirement age. Women’s healthcare encompasses reproductive care, mental healthcare, maternal healthcare, access to Medicaid and Medicare, and more.
We refuse to let the suffering of women become background noise. We will continue fighting for an America where every woman has the freedom to make her own healthcare decisions and access the care she needs.
