Cool enough to actually get out and have a decent walk today at our local @rspbengland.bsky.social reserve (The Lodge). So lovely to be amongst green trees and enjoy some peace and quiet.
This is one of my biggest AI bugbears - the offer to bypass proper reading and understanding of documents to save time. Who knows what interesting nuggets would get lost in the summary process.

You can also find a friends only (plus ads 😬) feed on Facebook but it's unnecessarily well hidden and again you need to pick it every time.
This is your semi regular reminder that you can choose a non-algorithmic, chronological following feed on Insta. You need to choose it every time but it is there. Picking favourites is another way of getting a curated focused feed.
Comfort reading. I love the Inspector Alleyn books and it's a shame they often seem overshadowed by Sayers and Christie. (Both of whom I also enjoy btw)

Lovely day for a spot of birding on the Wetlands Nature Reserve in the Forest of Marston Vale. Lots of sand martins using the wall, reed buntings, a marsh harrier, oyster catchers, grebes... and a bittern!

Popped into our local museum to see one of the temporary displays and ended up having a good mooch round some of the permanent collection afterwards. The Venetian Glass display was a nice find as I've just finished reading Tracy Chevalier's 'The Glass Maker'. #TinyJoys

Holy Trinity, Long Melford yesterday, where I actually saw someone carrying the relevant edition of Pevsner, which is the sort of thing I didn't think happened in real life anymore. (Although that it happened in East Anglia does track)
