Rambutan is growing right before our eyes. Animal Care Specialists report he’s been looking around and becoming more aware of his surroundings lately. Hesty and baby have been spending a lot of time outside, climbing high into the trees and taking in the view from up high.

The lambs in our Rocky Mountain bighorn sheep herd have been named! Meet Indigo and Saffron! 🐑 🌸 Indigo, born to mama Violet, is named for the deep blue-purple hue. 🌿 Saffron, born to mama Amber, carries on the warm color family theme; an orange-yellow hue within the broader amber palette.
We are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Cenzoo, the western lowland gorilla, at @riverbankszoosc. 🤍 Cenzoo holds a special place in DZCA history. He arrived during our 100th Anniversary in 1996 and was part of the first family group of gorillas to call Primate Panorama home. 🦍

🦒Panya is the newest member of our reticulated giraffe family! Panya is here as a potential breeding partner for Jasiri as part of the AZA Species Survival Plan, an important step in protecting this Endangered species for generations to come.
