I've got a different exception to my rule, of course.

Whose work most strikes you, but seemingly no one else, as comics? For me, it's the photo-collage work of the late news photographer Dan Eldon, who was murdered in Mogodishu at the height of the Somali conflict. The below book is one of my favorite graphic novels ever.

For my money, "Project A Part II" is Jackie Chan's greatest film, set in British colony-era Hong Kong and a brilliant and inventive homage to such danger-comedy pioneers as Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. Beats the pants off the original film.

For some weird reason, it seems like a good night to tell random strangers that this is one of the greatest films ever made. #chinchilla #chinchillachinchilla

Jean-Pierre Jeunet and Marc Caro made one of the better debuts from the Terry Gilliam school of filmmaking, I always thought.

If you could have one superhero take you out for a good time, who would you choose? If that's the scenario, I'm probably hallucinating anyway, so why not go all the way, skip the costumes and head straight into a night on the town with Ron Post? Guns ahoy!
