Minister Calleary is committed to supporting Gaeltacht communities. Since 2025, payments awarded to Gaeltacht families in the Irish-language college sector has increased by €3, to a total of €16 per student, per night.

Minister Dara Calleary officially opened new community facilities in Gowran and Thomastown yesterday. Over €4.35 million in Department funding delivered an intergenerational hub and a state-of-the-art library for Kilkenny communities.
