Anyway, my birthday gift to myself, a PRR L2. It actually post dates the timeframe of my future model railroad (1915) but as it’s hard to actually find 1915 era models, it will work. And honestly these were only built about 2-3 years after the setting of the model.
We should ask these people how ordering troops to fire indiscriminately into their fellow citizens worked out.
It’s fife maintenance time! My first time using Bore Oil (previously I used Almond Oil) on the fife and I have to say I like it. Almond oil is still the standard, but Bore Oil is what I am likely switching to. Also the first time I used a trumpet cleaner (the orange and black thing next to the fife)
Some of my favorites, moved them to this shelf so they can be seen better, there is a set of six I would like to get so I can have a 18 pice band. There is a Civil War fife and drum corps another manufacturer makes that I hope I can find it’s a secessionist corps (boooo) but it’s a fife and drum
Moving furniture around and this cabinet is now in its new home, all the soldiers fell over so had to fix everything. One broke :( so I have to fix it, but besides that everything came through and now things are a bit better organized.
You can believe this, but it’s simply not true. We have the data people *by and large* have far more disposable income than any other point in history. And yes you do have a far better quality of life than any of your ancestors.
