United in confusion with a small herd of American tourists by this Connemara toilet which confusingly appears to be behind a wall
This beautiful lady just came in to record for Friday’s episode and honestly I’m blown away by her honesty and courage. Nancy’s husband Mark took his own life in CUH in 2022 and she is working to ensure no other families suffer as they did. Her philosophy on life and death is simple - do good now.

We say we’re climate conscious - but we don’t want to change our behaviour. We say the government should do more to fought climate change - but not if we have to pay for it! The recent @irish_examiner Ipsos B&A poll revealed a lot about how we view climate change. Today’s episode drops at 2pm
I hate trifle but they don’t so I’m hoping they’ll fall for this or my attempt at thrift will have wasted a tin of peaches and a carton of custard as well 🤣
You should meet your heroes but only if they’re the lovely hotelier from Donegal Noel Cunningham. What a gent 🥰
Does the government think the war in Ukraine is over? You can’t rebuild something that is being continually destroyed… www.irishexaminer.com/news/politic...
I don’t often agree entirely with Brenda Power but in this matter she is spot on - I’ve had this conversation with so many women recently www.independent.ie/opinion/comm...

Today’s podcast is a palate cleanser - one Cork doctors story of a year spent living with the Inuit in the arctic… with her husband and three under fives 😬
Men, get in touch with the @irishexaminer.bsky.social for our Valentine’s Day special
Really interesting morning at the Broadcast to Podcast conference at UCC. Listening to some incredible stories from independent programme makers I am reminded of how privileged those of us are who can work full time at telling stories.
Waits patiently for Irish military historians to interject indignantly here about flying columns www.irishexaminer.com/world/arid-4...
Have a gang coming tomorrow and decided there at, oh, 10pm to get a head start on the cooking 🙈 But look I made crackers! (Enough crackers for basically two people… more crackers to be purchased… this is why we have supermarkets)
Have escaped from the chaos for ten minutes to “wrap presents”. Bwahaha
A French naval vessel in Cork Harbour this morning (if you leave the sound on you can hear the bells of St Colman’s Cathedral, Cobh).
Yes, definitely just plonk this enormous rust bucket right in the middle of one of Ireland’s most famous tourist destinations, no problem. What’s the plan here @portofcork.bsky.social? #MVMathew
