I am trying to spend more taking up space in public spaces, specifically public benches. As a woman living alone, I find it weirdly difficult. So tonight, I sat on one of the benches outside Tate Modern and had a long phone conversation with a friend while I watched young people skate.

I lied, I have just had airport sacher torte. It is still overrated (why so dry?) but i’m glad I did nonetheless.
My cultural highlights: A display about Vienna Festival posters at the MAK, Mire Lee at Secession and the Global/Neutral show at the Architecturzentrum.
Had apfelstrudel (did not have sacher torte), went for a swim, bought some clothes and an obscure architecture book. A successful trip by all accounts. Vienna, I won’t wait 12 years again, you’re a knockout. ❤️

Had a lovely time at Wine and Wotsits (hosted at Newspeak House) where 5 speaks gave Pecha Kucha talks around the topic of progressive campaigning. It was warm and the mic was terrible but felt like a normal 2012 kindof evening.

Really enjoyed this. Made me think about how we have de-politicised electricity/energy/computer use over time after an initial period of fear and loathing. Will it be the same for social media and AI? Will this just fade into the background eventually?
My favourite italian café in Fitzrovia helps e-drivers (mostly delivery folks) out by acting as a charging hub. We get the civic infrastructure we deserve I suppose. 😅
