It's a lovely facility alright, but the idea of bicycles needing a roundabout to decide priorities is #Motor Normative thinking. Bikes are agile and riders able to negotiate in real time as demonstrated by the rider taking the shortest route across the roundabout

Y'all, I need your help reporting something to Minneapolis 311. 4300 Webber Parkway, accessibility parking violations. MN Plates, JFP068 I've tried to get them multiple times to not park there, it's to the point that on the park diorama inside they put the staff car there. This has been WEEKS.

There has been a lot of discussion about the proposed Drones as First Responder (DFR) No-Cost Pilot Program, so wanted to clarify what it is and what it is not.
The purpose of this pilot is simple: determine whether this technology can help Minneapolis respond faster, improve situational awareness, increase officer and resident safety, and deliver city services more efficiently. Because the pilot is provided at no cost, it gives the City an opportunity to evaluate the technology using real-world data before making any future decisions.

A free, 75-day pilot program in the 4th Precinct to evaluate whether drone technology can help Minneapolis respond to 911 calls more quickly and safely. Drones are only deployed in response to 911 calls by trained police pilots working from the 911 call center. They are not flying around looking for activity or randomly patrolling neighborhoods. The goal is to improve emergency response by providing first responders with real-time information before they arrive. This can help determine when officers, firefighters, or EMS are truly needed and what resources should be sent. The program is designed to improve response times for incidents such as:
Missing people
Water rescues and technical rescues
llegal dumping
•llegal auto repair complaints
Nuisance abatement calls
Other dispatched calls for service The drone would be launched from Minneapolis Fire Station 14 and can often arrive well before officers, helping responders assess the situation more quickly. This is especially valuable when searching for missing children, locating people near water, or responding to emergencies where every minute matters.

What the dfr program is not

X It is not a surveillance program. XIt is not routine aerial patrol of neighborhoods. X It is not intended to replace officers or human interaction. When a drone launches, its camera is angled toward the horizon while traveling to the incident location rather than recording the areas below. Drone use is highly regulated and prohibited from random surveillance. Privacy protections are built into the program. Footage with no evidentiary value is deleted within seven days, and a public transparency dashboard would track every flight, including when it occurred and the reason for deployment. This technology is already being used successfully in Minnesota communities, including St. Paul, Duluth, Rochester, Minnetonka, and Brooklyn Park. Since expanding its docked drone program, St. Paul has reported: Drones reaching scenes in under 90 seconds •472 missions in less than a month •Assistance in locating 33 people
Support in 36 arrests No complaints regarding drone use since the program began in 2023 Other communities have also seen measurable results: Minnetonka: drones arrived first on scene for 65% of calls, with 20% of those calls resolved without requiring a patrol response. •San Francisco reported a 4496% reduction in auto theft after implementing its DFR program.

Green Party candidates for MN gov sent out an email with zero talking points, zero plans for action, and filled with rhetoric and nothing of actual value, over a week after the arrests last Tuesday of the MN 15. PS he is, but that is not a plan of action. Try to meet the bare minimum here.

We all wanted to believe that the worst of the Trump regime's targeting of our community was behind us. Deep down, we felt it wasn't true. Now we know that this battle is far from over.

Last Tuesday, Federal agents arrested some of our neighbors, our friends, our comrades merely because they allegedly stepped up in the face of fascist aggression.

The eyes of the world are watching Minnesotans. We are in the belly of the beast. It is our duty to give this beast a terrible bellyache.
