It looks like my usual Eastern Screech Owl pair did actually have owlets after all, just very late in the season! Looks like they fledged at some point last week while I was out of state for work, and it seems like they're both going to be red morphs like their dad. #birds #raptors #owls

10 years ago today I had my #1 chase of my life near Dodge City, Kansas. This was my first week chasing the plains and I wish I could go back and re-do this day over with what I know now.

Am oddly agreeable Great Horned Owl last night down at the lake. Of the 12 owl species I've photographed, they're easily the most annoying to work with despite how common they are as they tend to be very skittish. #birds #raptors
