I am learning tons at an online art conference, and I made this yesterday.
My poem "Feathers" appears in the Spring/Summer edition of Buoy's Substrata zine, coming out very soon, and I am SO stoked!
I painted this portrait of my friend's recently departed kitty, Toby, and gave it to her yesterday. It was ambitious for my novice skills, but it came out better than expected and was received with smiles and tears.
Checking off 20 of 26 breweries on the Jax Ale Trail, which I started last summer. 🍻
I literally drew this yesterday. Our girl is terrified.
A grudging hello from two gals who don't much care for other cats, including one another, Gladys (red) and Wrexford (black).
Reminds me of this toy I gave a friend who is nearly equally obsessed with cats and potatoes.
Normally my weekly art journal shows four panels of fun or meaningful happenings from the week as they apply to heart, mind, body, and soul. But with the onset of storm season, last week the migraines won.
I finally finished the 11 toxic blooms I wanted to draw and paint for the "Bloomtober" challenge last fall.
Installed this sweet custom drink holder on my power chair.
I prepared this helpful guide in between sneezes.
This is a cat checkpoint. Relinquish your most recent cat picture on your phone.
That is so kind, thank you. I came closer to approximating her beauty on my second go! 😍
I drew my friend’s dog. I’m a novice and feel good about this initial effort.
Pick a Bond from photos you already have on your phone.
Our foster-fail pup Reynard always loves to mentor any foster kittens. This is Lionel, recovering from an amputation. (Play is always carefully supervised.)
I made this video for ME Awareness Day last year to illustrate how much my life has shrunk since I got sick. I am grateful every day for all I still have and can do. I also miss my old life, where I could be upright for 14 or more hours a day instead of one or two today. @meactnet.bsky.social
I’ve been doing lots of fun art things during and since Sketchbook Revival (free online art conference).
Reminds me of my beloved departed Samwise, a once-in-a-lifetime doggo. His number was up in a kill shelter, but a volunteer knew he was somebody’s perfect dog and transported him to another rescue, where he and I found each other. CGC, agility, earnest, friend to cats. <3
Froze my tail off and loved every minute. #NoKings
Reminds me of my own ‘70s cat, Joker (the most patient patient when I played nurse).
My niece made this amazing cat/Pop-Tart painting.
Hi from Gladys (foreground)! She is only eight pounds fully grown.
Wrexford and Gladys (and I) are so glad you’re back!
